It sits atop 10.5 acres of land downtown and is filled to its capacity. Originally established by the freemasons, the cemetery is a virtual ‘who’s who’ of Boulder history. 6,500 people are buried here. Each gravestone is a narrative revealing provocative clues about who we were, how they lived, and died, and what shaped their values, attitudes, and traditions. From the most simple grave to quite the odd artistic. Its a cemetery worth visiting. Rated 4 stars out of 5.

Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, CO

“Cave of the Winds” Manitou Springs, Colorado http://www.caveofthewinds.com/ A pricey, but cute small cave with some the scenic gems of mineral growth in Colorado. Beautiful overlook of the canyon and rich with history, this rustic cave has a short tour and fun stories to go with it. Alternatively you can do the lantern tour to get a taste of what exploring the cave by lantern was like. While I’m spoiled by famous caves like Carlsbad Caverns … if you’re in the area, its worth a gander if you’ve got the bucks to spend. I would recommend they drop their prices … but overall me and my daughter had fun. Rating: 3 stars out of 5.
